The fuze was used with various length of wooden extension rods underneath
the ballistic cap of the different caliber projectiles.
This brass bodied version of the C/27 fuze was produced just before/early
WW II and was later replaced by the aluminum & steel bodied versions.
The fuze requires a rotation of 2300-2700rpm to be armed.
The fuze was developed by the "Rheinmetall" company in Soemmerda.
